School of Nursing

Mrs. Sarah Mullins
Instructor
Office: 1008
I graduated nursing from VWCC in 2000 with my ADN. I began nursing in a Med/Surg unit in 2001, in Wilmington, NC. I began my ICU career in 2003, in a surgical/neuro/trauma ICU and continued in that same setting after moving back to Roanoke in 2005. In 2008, I began work as an organ procurement coordinator for the Va OPO, LifeNet Health. Once I decided to go back to school, to pursue my BSN, I went back to the ICU at CRMH. I obtained my BSN from Liberty University and shortly after, started my path to AG-ACNP at the University of Virginia. After becoming an NP, I started my work with the surgical intensivists at CRMH, where I continue to practice. In each of my various roles, I have worked with student nurses in clinical and practicum roles. In the NP role, I have precepted NP students in their clinical hours, oriented new NPs to the job role as well as work closely with medical residents rotating in the ICU setting. I began teaching in the nursing program, at Radford University, in Fall 2022.
