Dr. Besenhard received her Ph.D. from the University of Miami in 2021. Her main research interests are labor economics related to immigration and applied econometrics. In the area of immigration, she works on investigating possibilities of new types of immigrant visas. Regarding applied econometrics, her passion lies in attempting to develop new statistical tests that allow the comparison of data distributions while taking into account some of the constraints that are characteristic of survey data.
