Joy Bhadury, PhD, is the Dean of the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University, Virginia, USA. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Dean of the School of Business and Management at SUNY–Brockport and Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs for the Bryan School of Business and Economics at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to UNCG, he was Chair of the Department of Management and Finance in the College of Business and Economics at California State University–East Bay and also served as the Director of the Engineering Program at that institution. After completing his PhD in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1991, he additionally worked at the following two institutions: University of New Brunswick, Canada and SUNY-Buffalo. Dr. Bhadury’s professional specialization is in Management Science and Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He has taught extensively at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the US and Canada, and has also taught and lectured in the US, Ghana, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and Austria. His work has been published in numerous national and international academic journals such as INFORMS Journal of Computing, Travel Behavior and Society, European Journal of Operational Research, Maritime Policy and Management, Economic Development Quarterly, Annals of Regional Science and Computers and Operations Research. Additionally, he has provided professional services to public and private organizations including NC Maritime Strategy Advisory Council, NC Center for Global Logistics, Carolina Farm Credit, Duplin Winery, SAP-AG, FedEx, and Buffalo Police Department. His work has been supported by funding from organizations such as Glaxo Smith Kline Foundation, US Dept of Labor (WIRED Program), Carolina Farm Credit, Piedmont Triad Partnership, NC Department of Public Instruction, NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, NC Department of Transportation and Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada.
