Carol Cochran, MSN, RN-C joined Radford University Carilion as a nursing faculty in 2020. Carol Cochran MSN, RN-C brings a wealth experience in nursing education to RUC, She has taught at the community college level and in a post secondary public school program. Carol has experience as a nurse educator for Carilion Giles and Carilion Tazewell Community hospitals as well as holding positions as a charge nurse and nurse preceptor. Carol Cochran MSN, RN continues her employment at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center Birthplace as a labor, delivery, postpartum and recovery staff nurse, allowing her to stay abreast of best practice in the clinical setting related to the obstetric population. Carol enjoys sharing her knowledge with future generations of nursing students, her favorite part of nursing education is having students in the clinical setting, and seeing first hand as they link theory with practice.
