I attended New River Community College and completed my Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree and transferred into a full time Medical Surgical RN position at Carilion Clinic. During that time, I cross-trained to the Emergency Department, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, Endoscopy, Surgery (Inpatient and Outpatient), and Endoscopy. I furthered my education at the former Jefferson College of Health Sciences, now Radford University Carilion and completed my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree in 2013. I achieved a promotion into a leadership position within Carilion Clinic in 2015 and returned to school at Liberty University where I completed my Master's of Science in Nursing Education in 2017. I accepted a Special Purpose Faculty position at Radford University at that time, maintaining a flex-time RN position at Carilion Clinic. I returned to school in 2019 pursing my doctorate degree and completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Education and Leadership at Grand Canyon University in 2021. I am currently working toward tenure and promotion to Associate Professor with Radford University. I am happily married to my husband, Derick, and we have two beautiful daughter, Grace and Kayleigh.
